The knowledge base of MIMCOL’s consulting staff is continuously enhanced through its commitment to the professional development of its core team. In fact, most of MIMCOL’s staff have achieved, or are in the process of obtaining, a qualification at Masters level in their chosen career paths which includes Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology. It is pertinent to note that the relative seniority of MIMCOL’s professional team enhances its credibility with the Boards and management teams of its businesses and/or clients.
On an annual basis, MIMCOL organises a 2- or 3-day professional development workshop in collaboration with a leading audit firm. These workshops typically cover an assortment of relevant business and financial topics and are aimed at the continuous development of the staff’s professional competence. Representatives of the various entities within MIMCOL’s portfolio are also invited to these workshops thus encouraging knowledge sharing and networking possibilities.
To meet the skill requirements of the various assignments it undertakes, as well as to ensure speed of response, MIMCOL relies on a very flat and lean organisational structure with a matrix format that maximises on teamwork, shared responsibilities and decision-making. Furthermore, MIMCOL supplements its own in-house expertise by drawing upon external specialists in areas such as legal services, architecture and civil engineering as and when required.
